Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains how Imayse Pty Ltd (ABN 78 654 736 599), the company that makes Propod®, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit propod.au, buy from us, or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to sell and deliver your order, answer your questions and, if you sign up, send you emails or texts.
  • We use trusted service providers to run our store, take payments, send emails and understand how people use our site. Some of them store information overseas.
  • We never sell your personal information.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time, and you can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you.

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, what you bought, and your order history.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We don't see or store your full card number.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you've signed up for our emails or texts, and how you interact with them (for example, which emails you open).
  • Reviews and messages: anything you send us, including product reviews and photos you choose to share.
  • Website use: your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, items added to cart, and how you move around and click on our pages.
  • Stockist enquiries: your business name, contact details and location if you apply to stock Propod.

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health information. Please don't include it in messages to us.

How we collect it

  • Directly from you: when you place an order, sign up for emails or texts, leave a review, enter a competition, or email us.
  • Automatically: through cookies and similar technology when you use our website (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
  • From our service providers: for example, payment and fraud-check results from our payment providers, and delivery updates from couriers.

You can browse our website and ask us general questions without telling us who you are. To buy from us, we need your name, contact details and delivery address.

Why we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service.
  • To send marketing emails or texts, only if you've agreed to receive them. Every message has an unsubscribe link or opt-out option.
  • To show product reviews on our website.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.

We don't make decisions about you using only automated processes. Our payment providers run automated fraud checks on orders, and we review any order they flag before deciding what to do.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed with the service providers that help us run Propod. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

  • Shopify: hosts our online store, checkout and order records.
  • Payment providers: Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, to take payments and check for fraud.
  • Delivery partners: the couriers that deliver your order.
  • Klaviyo: sends our emails and texts and manages sign-ups.
  • Judge.me: collects and displays product reviews.
  • Microsoft Clarity: shows us how visitors use our website, including anonymised recordings of clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. It doesn't record what you type into forms or payment fields.
  • Other Shopify apps that run store features such as bundles and product recommendations.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant, and government authorities when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Canada, and in some cases in the European Union. We choose reputable providers and only share what they need to provide their service.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technology to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and understand which marketing works. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them.

How we store and protect it

Your information is stored electronically by our service providers, who use industry-standard security such as encryption. We limit access to people who need it to run the business. We keep order records for at least 5 years to meet Australian tax record-keeping rules, and we delete or de-identify personal information when we no longer need it.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

Your choices and rights

  • Marketing: unsubscribe using the link in any email, reply STOP to any text, or email us.
  • Access and correction: you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your information. We'll do so unless we need to keep it by law, for example order records for tax purposes.
